Review: Sleek Pout Polish

For some reason I always thought these could make good dupes for the MAC tinted lip conditioners. But oh boy, was I wrong. According to a fair amount of reviews on the Sleek Pout Polish, they are nicely scented tinted lip conditioners that are good for a day-to-day basis. So I went ahead and got these about three months ago for 350 baht apiece (£7). Unfortunately, these did not work for me.

First off, these pout polishes do smell like vanilla..but for me it's so heavily scented that every time I wear them I have to wipe them off my lips 'cause I just can't stand the smell. Don't get me wrong, I love vanilla-scented lip products...but if these were a tiny bit more scented, I think they can pass for a perfume.

The packaging of these actually are really compact and "sleek", and the products look absolutely beautiful in the little jars.

Perfect Plum, Peach Perfection (natural sunlight)

Perfect Plum, Peach Perfection (natural sunlight)

As for pigmentation, it will depend which color you get. As you can see, Peach Perfection is very sheer and isn't noticeable on when worn on the lips. Perfect Plum, on the other hand, shows up true to the color that you see in the pot.

Because these are "lip conditioners", they are still balmy, non-sticky, and very comfortable to wear. However, because of the overwhelming scent of this product, I won't be repurchasing these again. BUT, I would still recommend you check out other reviews of the Sleek Pout Polish, since this is only my opinion. Despite the scent, these are still really amazing lip conditioners that are moisturizing and not tacky.

Have you tried the Sleek Pout Polish? What are your favorite lip conditioners?

Tag: Summer Obsessions

Because it's always hot and humid here in Thailand regardless of the weather, we get the summer heat all year round. But I'm gonna go ahead and do this Summer Obsessions tag anyway. It was created by two of my favorite youtubers, Zoe and Louise!

Favorite product: Bright nail polishes
As much as I love my lip products, it was way too hard to pick one so I just picked bright nail polishes instead! Don't these nail polishes just scream SUMMER?

Favorite scent:Victoria Secret Body Mist in Coconut Passsion
This does not, repeat not, smell like a coconut. It smells like a vanilla cake with a bunch of frosting and rainbow sprinkles, only much stronger.

Favorite youtuber: essiebutton!
Estee is hands down my favorite youtuber of all time. She is so real, down-to-earth and so damn hilarious. Every time she describes a product, she never fails to make me laugh...not to mention that she has an amazing blog as well. I'd tell you to check her out but you probably know her already. Either that or you're a cavewoman.

Favorite book: Game of Thrones (heavy read)
Even though I've already read this book once before, I wanted read it again just because there are SO many details that I know I missed out the first time. It's a heavy read due to the complex storyline as well as the overwhelming amount of characters there are in this book! There are A LOT.

Favorite book: The Complete Fairy Tales and Stories (Light read)

Despite the thickness of this book, it's still a children's book so it's quite a light read. I'm currently reading The Little Mermaid. It's kind of strange to read about the original versions of these fairy tales though, 'cause I grew up with the Disney film versions. This version is so much more in-dept  but I still love Disney films nonetheless. Who doesn't? :)

What are your summer obsessions? Leave them down belooow.

#&%@!*#$!

"Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you."? What a load of bullshit. Due to many many reasons, today is one of those days where I wanna shut everyone out and be alone.

But here is just a small playlist I always go to when I feel like I've hit rock bottom of fuckery.

But I hope everyone's having a great day :)

Honey, Green Tea & Oatmeal Face Mask!

Hey guys! Today I'm going to be sharing a honey, green tea and oatmeal face mask with you. It's extremely simple and easy. Let's go ahead and do this!
Things you need:
- Dried green tea leaves (preferably organic)
- Instant Oatmeal
- Honey
- a spoon
- a small Bowl
That is it! It's that simple.

 1. Put in a teaspoon of dried green tea leaves in the bowl.

2. Pour a tiny bit of hot water in the bowl and stir it up!

3. Place 2 large pinches of instant oatmeal into the bowl. You decide for yourself which consistency you want your mask to be. It shouldn't be too thick nor runny.
 4. Lastly put in 2 teaspoon of honey in the mask anddddd you are done!

Benefits of this face mask:
- Oatmeal: Treats sunburn, acne, rosacea and eczema. It alsooothes and moisturizes skin.
- Honey: Softens the skin & treats acne scars. Hydrates & has anti-aging properties.
- Green tea: Has anti-oxidants that prevent wrinkles and skin cancer.

Even though it's not the best looking face mask in the world, I guarantee that it does work wonderfully on the skin! I've been making this for 2 weeks now and my face is as soft as a baby's tushy. It's cheap and it's all natural products..what more can you ask for?

Try this and let me know what you think!

MAKEUP BUYING BAN - July

No more. This is what I've been telling myself for the past month when I go to the drugstore or department store. It's really hard to just walk past those colorful and shiny makeup products that lie so beautifully on the counters. I'm writing this post just right after making an order of the whole set of real techniques brushes. This may make me a hypocrite for writing this post but whatever.

The amount of makeup that I have is quite excessive but it's NOWHERE near the amount that most makeup gurus on Youtube have. I mean..if you've watched their makeup collection, they are freaking massive. I personally would never want my makeup collection expand to that extent because I know I'll never use them up. Makeup products have expiration dates...and we're just dumping our money down the drain with a bunch of stuff we're not going to use. The most amount makeup product that I have is lipsticks. I probably have 15? I don't really know but I know for one thing that most of them also have to be chucked out as well. This may seem like nothing to some of you but let's get real here...we only have a pair of lips...how much lipstick can we put on with a single pair of lips?

After watching Gemma from Gemsmaquillage's video about her thoughts on the amount of makeup that she has, it's made me realized that it's almost stupid to have SO much makeup that we're gonna end up throwing away. That video literally changed my view on purchasing makeup and it made me reflect on my personal spending. It used to be like "ooh that's pretty, i'ma get that. OOH, that too and that!"

So yes, I've decided to not buy any makeup product in the month of July. Let's see how I go in a month first and if all goes well, I might extend it to 2-3 months!

Tag: How Much Does Your Face Cost?

Hi guys!
I've been tagged by Yesenia from yisforyesenia.blogspot.com. Please check her out! She does a bunch of posts are fun to read plus she's from Southern Cali! It really doesn't get better than that.

Anyways, for these products I'm just going to sum up the "normal" prices, not the prices that I actually paid for them. (Because in Thailand, we pay much more for makeup due to taxes and crap) This is one of the reasons why one of my wishes is to live in the States. Also, to be honest I don't remember the prices that I paid for all these stuff. heh.

Alright, let's get started!

Face

  • Bobbi Brown creamy concealer - $32
  • theBalm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder - $19
  • Nars Blush/Bronzer Trio $42

Eyes

  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance - $18
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette - $50
  • Covergirl Lash Blast - $6

Brows

  • No7 Lash and Brow Perfector - $7
  • Mac Mystery e/s - $15

Lips
  • theBalm Plump Your Plucker in Cocoa My Coconut - $15
  • Maybeline Color Sensational lipstick in Warm me up - $5
Total = $209

Holy shit. I can't believe all this costs 200 hundred bucks. I don't wanna think about the better things that I could've bought with this amount of money. And I don't even want to calculate the actual amount that I paid for all this. *sigh* I should probably go on a makeup buying ban. I really should.

Thanks for Yesenia again for tagging me and making me realize how insanely expensive just an everyday face of makeup costs. Huge wakeup call!

Stila convertible Color in Poppy

I've had this Stila convertible color for a LONG time and I haven't even made a tiny dent in it. Despite the fact that I have light skin tone, I still bought Poppy 'cause I thought it would give me sort of a natural pretty glow.

I use Poppy with the Real Techniques stippling brush. I tap the brush into the product VERY lightly. Repeat LIGHTLY. Then, take off the excess by putting on the back of my hand, and I apply it on my cheeks.

The packaging is so so cute. Ah, just look at it.

This thing is extremely pigmented, it shows up very true to color. For those of you who have pale skin, stay away from this shade because you might end up looking like a clown. It's very easy to overdo this blush.

One of the reasons I don't reach for this product that often is probably because of its super intense color payoff. (The blended out swatch on my hand looks sheer, because I blended the color really really well)   I should've gotten the lighter colors like Gerbera or Lillium, 'cause those are better suited for my skin tone. HOWEVER, if you have dark skin tone, I imagine this would work beautifully for you. The texture is so creamy and moisturizing. Because of its finish, I've been eying the other Stila Convertible shades!

Have you tried any other Stila Convertible colors? If so, what do you think of them?
