Review: Lush Grease Lightning

Because I'm kind of a Lush junkie, around this time last year I made a large Lush order that has to be shipped all the way from the UK to Thailand. The shipping was insane too, it was probably like 1300 baht which is equivalent to 20 something pounds. (Crazy, I know) Grease Lightning is one of those products that you don't really think about when you go to Lush, because I personally always go for the colorful and exciting bath bombs and the bubble bars. But I gotta say this product works amazingly not only on zits and pimples but also on your oily areas around the T-zone.

Basically, it is a clear anti-bacterial gel that gets rid of all of the bacterias on your zits. A big plus for me is that Grease Lightning has aloe vera to also soothe the pimples, and it does not irritate my skin at all. (unlike the benzoyl peroxide stuff that leaves you with a dry patch of skin afterwards)

HOWEVER, if you look at the ingredient list, this product does have methylparaben, so if you only use paraben-free products, this is definitely not for you.

Personally, this product works wonders for my skin. The tea tree scent is very soothing when I put this on before bed.

Give this a try if you haven't already! It's only £5.65 and it's so worth it!

Thanks for dropping by!

  1. This sounds like a great product! Does it leave the face with a matte effect and take away shine?

    1. It doesn't leave your face totally matte but for me it prevents my T-zone from being oily throughout the day :)

  2. This sounds great, I'll definitely be trying it soon
